Dayne Walling is the Mayor of the City of Flint. His vision of a sustainable 21st Flint has attracted new investments and energy to the collaborative effort to turn Flint around. He is committed to bringing new jobs, making neighborhoods safe, and supprting great schools. Mayor Walling was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. He is a graduate of Flint Central High School and has the distinct honor of being Flint’s only Rhodes Scholar. Mayor Walling has an extensive higher education portfolio: Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University; a second Bachelor of Arts in Modern History from St. Peter's College, University of Oxford; and a Master of Arts in Urban Studies from Goldsmith's College, University of London. He also pursued doctoral studies in Geography at the University of Minnesota, with a fellowship from the National Science Foundation. Mayor Walling’s past professional experience includes: Owner and Manager of 21st Century Performance, work with the Genesee County Land Bank’s affiliated Genesee Institute, and founder of Flint Club. Mayor Walling has also worked with the Urban Coalition of Minnesota. He was an aide to Washington DC Mayor Anthony Williams, and worked for U.S. Congressman Dale Kildee. Mayor Walling is an active member of Court Street United Methodist Church in Flint. He and his wife Carrie have two sons, Bennett and Emery. They live near Mott Community College in Flint. |

Hi, I'm Greg Alexander and I have lived in Sanilac County for most of my 42 years, where I currently serve, as the Sanilac County Drain Commissioner. I graduated from Carsonville-Port Sanilac Schools, where I grew up on a Dairy farm, so work ethic was learned early in life. Almost 20 Years ago, I married Patricia Jo Matusik at St Joseph Catholic Church in Sandusky, where we continue to be parishioners, and I serve as Grand Knight of the Sandusky Knights of Columbus. I enjoy nature and hunting with our three children, Alyson(18), Joshua(15), and Matthew(13). Our whole family enjoys volunteering for the Sanilac County Hockey Association! GO WINGS!!!! Amy Planck – Secretary |

Amy Planck is the Secretary for the Karegnondi Water Authority. Amy is the recently retired City Manager of Imlay City, Michigan. Amy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from UM-Flint. Prior to serving as the Imlay City Manager for eleven years, she served as the city’s appointed Clerk/Treasurer for nine years. While employed by the city, Amy served on many boards and committees including the Greater Lapeer County Utilities Authority (GLCUA), the Construction Code Authority, the Michigan Local Government Manager’s Association, Lapeer Development Corporation, Imlay City Area Chamber of Commerce, and United Way of Lapeer County. Before employment in local government, Amy worked in accounting and management positions at several private sector companies. |

Dale Kerbyson was selected as the City Manger for the City of Lapeer in December 2004. Dale has over fifteen years experience in city management and previously worked as the City Manager in Marlette, Michigan. Activities included Executive Director of the Marlette Downtown Development Authority, Marlette Local Development Finance Authority, the Marlette Historical Society, and Chamber of Commerce. Dale was a certified Public Manager and has a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Central Michigan University. Dale is a board member for the Michigan Local Government Management Association, Lapeer Development Corporation, Economic Development Commission/Tax Increment Finance Authority/Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, Local Development Finance Authority, Planning commission, Community Foundation Economic Development Visionary Committee, and the Mott Community College Scholarship Fundraising Committee. |

County Commissioner Jamie W. Curtis was elected to his first term on the Genesee County Board of Commissioners in November 2006. He represents the citizens of the third County Commissioner District. In January of 2010, Commissioner Curtis was elected Chairperson of the Genesee County Board of Commissioners. Prior to his election to the Board of Commissioners, Commissioner Curtis served as the Vice-President of the Burton City Council and chairman of the Legislative Committee. He is also on the Metropolitan Alliance and an advocate of the Genesee Health Plan. Commissioner Curtis is a retired skilled trade millwright from Flint Power Train North, where he was employed for 30 years. While working for General Motors, he was a member of U.A.W. Local 599 and served in various elected positions in the union bargaining unit. He is active in the U.A.W. as a retiree. Commissioner Curtis is married to Dr. Cheri Mys-Curtis D.O. who practices internal medicine in the Burton area. They have one son, Tyler, who attends Kearsley schools. Commissioner Curtis and Cheri are active in the Shriner Mini Clinics assisting children with orthopedic and burn injuries. Commissioner Curtis has also attended Mott-Apprenticeship programs and the Baker Community College-Medical Billing program. John Freeman, age 60, is a lifetime resident of the City of Lapeer. He has graduate from the U of M, were he met his wife, Rebecca. Their two daughters graduated from Lapeer West and also became a U of M alumni. Freeman has spent the last 12 years working as the Deputy Drain Commissioner for Lapeer County. Upon retirement of the former Commissioner he was appointed to fill the remainder of the term. This position has provided Freeman with the experience of public works projects that is of value regarding his participation on the Karegnondi Water Authority Board. |
